*HF Neighborhood Supper Club*

 Everyone is welcome to participate. If you are interested please e-mail me your “put me/us on the 2011 list” requests by December 1st.

 Please see the following for a general description of the 2011 Neighborhood Supper Club format.

 *2011 Supper Club Kick Off Event*

 This is an *optional* Saturday evening to meet everyone who is going to participate in Supper Club.   Though not formalized as yet, you can expect it to be held Jan-Feb at a nearby restaurant/bar. Definitely casual. No RSVP necessary.  Details to follow.

 *Three set dates/evenings and fabulous themed cuisines*

 Saturday, April 10th *Greek *Cuisine
Saturday, June 4th *Hawaiian* Cuisine
Saturday, September 24th* Cajun* Cuisine

 Progressive dinner format (different houses host each course during the evening)
6:00-7:00 pm appetizers and drinks (*new shorter time period)
7:00-8:30 pm dinner entrees and drinks
8:30-10:00 pm dessert and after dinner drinks

 *Collaborative Cooking Groups*
All participants (singles and couples welcomed) will be placed into cooking
groups (six or so participants/couples per group).   The groups will vary from last year’s to accommodate new folks and mix it up, but will be determined as randomly as possible.  Each group will be responsible for preparing either appetizer course, dinner course or a dessert course each of the three evenings.  During the course of the year’s events the group will prepare all three.  The individual groups will determine the actual menus keeping with the theme and also provide drinks (wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages) to accompany the courses.

 *Mixing It Up*
Members of the cooking groups will not change for the three evenings.  But each evening your cooking group will be matched with different groups, so your fellow diners will vary.  Always someone new with whom to chat.

*Hosting*
Most people will host a stop in the progressive dinner at some time during the year.  Those of you who hosted last year will be asked only if necessary or if you so desire.
